Cape Cod is approximately one and half hour drive from Boston. There are many coastal villages and picturesque harbors here, freshwater lakes, and miles of beautiful scenic beaches!
The climate of Cape Cod is milder, making it an ideal destination all year round. Normally, the sea remains warm enough to swim right up to mid-fall. Cape Cod, along with the islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard are miles of beautiful beaches. Most beaches are open to the public but there are some beaches require permits in season.
The islands of Cape Cod are easily accessible from the peninsula and are ideal for day trips. These islands were formed by some of the first British colonies, which began as commercial whaling or office. Now, these islands are some of the richest regions, with large farms owned by some of the richest families in the country.
Cape Cod is one of the few places in the North Atlantic whale right can still be found, because they are one of the world’s most endangered species. What better way to see one in your holiday to take a whale watching cruise!
The Olde Kings Highway has been named one of the most picturesque highways in the United States. Run along the Cape, and has many boutiques, antique shops, boutiques up and down.
